That's more than I make most months! If mine gets to the point where it exceeds $500 a month I will have to drop it.

I'll withhold my immediate thoughts, so that I don't get a bunch of nasty PMs complaining about my choice of language. However, I could live in retirement comfortably on that amount per month. If you'll pay me the $3572.00/month and should you become terminally ill during that time, I'll come smother you in your sleep with a pillow. How's that?

Hang on for a rough ride, Ellen. Our group insurance passed the $600.00/month for a single plan when we renewed.

You can always shop around for something with a bigger deductible, if needed. You don't want to get caught without health insurance.

We pay approximately $800 per month for health insurance for both of us through a retiree "benefit" from the company I retired from, in addition to the Medicare premiums deducted from SS. The health insurance includes dental and prescription drug coverage. Is this good??? I guess...

Edit: Oh, it's through United Health Care.

With the Medicare deductions, you're talking 1K/month. It's pricey, but a lot better than what Morris is paying!!

At least you have dental, too.

Dean, you remind me of Dr. Kevorkian. I just finished his new book, 'I'm okay, you're DOA'.

My wife is insured through her former employers retiree plan and I have a supplemental plan through them since I have Medicare A & B. Total cost for both of us under this plan is around $200 including prescriptions for me so I dont need Medicaid Part D. We are fortunate.
