I'll put my S "to bed" at the first sign of snow as well, no sense taking chances with the summer tires. But funny thing is that here in the CA Bay Area, we haven't seen snow since I settled here. So I'll keep driving it with the top down until it snows -- my ears almost got frozen driving to work this morning.

I'll be putting mine away for the winter as soon as our lake freezes over.

Aren't we warm weather types stinkers?

On the other hand... a Fall Colors tour in Southern Ca. would be pretty darned dull. (at least the "fall colors" portion)

Granny!!! Back to watching the geese, woman!
Granny, we've got lots of geese here. I can help watch them for you.

My dogs just love to watch the geese fly low over my house. As soon as they get close, they start barking their heads off. Since the home builders started putting retention ponds in all of the new housing additions, we have had geese everywhere. They like it so much here, they don't leave for the winter.

PS...did you want me to explain about your spring spacers?

Well, someone has to gloat and it might as well be us.
I can live quite nicely without four seasons. I grew up in Maine where there were nine months of winter and three months of damned poor sledding.

And large steaming piles of goose poop. Waterfowl crap is just plain nasty.

My baby is going to stay up all winter too. She gets run up every week or so and if the roads are clear she gets to go out and play. If it's above 40 then she gets to go topless. Waukegan Illinois next weekend if there is no snow. Dyno dyno dyno. Quick Vintage trivia question: (should be easy)..what famous entertainer was born in Waukegan? Hint - radio, television and movies.

So far, the weather has been decent. At the sign of the first snow fall she goes into hybernation until spring
