I believe I read this many moons ago on this forum but I'd like to hear from others. My Spa color is aging differently on the plastic parts vs. the sheet metal. The 1st time I noticed it was yesterday after washing it. The side mirrors have an orangish hue. The rest of the car is the same as it always was. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't noticed any issues with parts aging differently and my car is an outside car.

There is a Spa owner locally that had a huge problem with paint match ofter an accident, but I'm not sure about the paint aging differently on different materials. Could be a material interaction.

Probably comes from living so near the beach with all of that warm salty South Carolina air all the time.

I always knew those pesky Spas were trouble! Well, but then I had an epiphany and joined the group! From the Dark Side I used to watch the Dark Leader morph the Spa into Berlina -- Carmen, have you been parking too close to Marco again??

Maybe Honda owes you a new paint job. I would definitely complain to them about it! If you need support we could barrage them with Vintage letters if they don't do the right thing!
Hah! I'm still wondering if I still qualify for the 2nd gear grind TSB. I can no longer get it serviced by "the man", Hardtopguy. I used to think it was just me messing up. But I think my car has this problem.

My bumpers are different now. When I had my hood painted GPW, the owner of the body shop asked if my car had ever been repainted, as there were three different shades from the front lip, bumper and the rest of the car.

It's the plastic parts on my car too

I think the different metal-plastic color changes from exposure to the sun may be more likely to occur with Spa or GPW than with Berlina or the metalic colors like Rio, Suzuka, Silverstone, or Laguna. It didn't occur in eight years with my Berlina, and I think the metal flakes may deter the color discrepancy from appearing. Honda should take responsibility for it IMO. Maybe they could just repaint the plastic parts.
