Your mom and auntie sure look alike, and both have a good hold on the passenger door.

 

A Columbia Sportswear Company cap that's styled like a baseball cap but has mesh sides and velcro for sizing it.

I've mention this cap before as the best I've ever found for top down motoring. It is extremely light weight. It breathes. It stays on no matter what the speed or conditions (ie, passing big rigs). It can be squashed into nothing and stuffed under the S2k seats. Any of my friends who have purchase one all agree it's the best.

I switch to a regular cap when I get to my location.

 

HAHA...I hadn't noticed that. We aren't even moving in those two pics. Guess it was the anticipation.

 

I love that photo. To me it epitomizes the picture of a very happy S2000 owner.

^ They are half sisters...same father. Auntie is 14 years older than my mother. She just turned 98 and my mother will be 84 next Thurs.

 

I saw that too, once it was pointed out. I took my then 83 year old Mom for a ride in the "S".

I stayed off the highway, and took a scenic route to our destination, but she's never asked for another ride. Maybe a bit too bumpy for her liking.

 

I took my dad for a ride in my S about a week ago. He never smiled, never lost the grimace on his face that he normally has. He could barely get out from the low position. Too bad. I was hoping he'd get a thrill.

 

I have real issues with hats and the S, I am 6'2"ish and I like to sit fairly straight up in the S, so anything with a brim tends to get lift and fly off.. I don't like tethers, and I hate being distracted by my hat attempting to lift off while driving, even if I know it's tied down. My +1 and I have matching "Life Aquatic" Jacques Cousteau type red stocking caps that we wear when it's cold. When it's hot I just rub sunscreen on my bald(ing) spot when I'm lathering up for a drive. An absolute must here in FL. (ask me how I know )
