I find it extremely interesting how brand loyal so many Honda owners are.
Personally I've never had a bad Japanese car...

If anyone wonders why I am loyal to Honda you only have to know my first two vehicles...
In 1987 I bought my first car - a 78 AMC Concord. 1/2 what I know mechanically about cars came from owning this vehicle - all the items failed at some point
My second car and first new one was in 1989 - a Hyundai Excel sedan. What a POS!!! To this day I cringe when I see or hear that brand name. I traded it in at 3 years, 36,000 for a 7 year old Accord with 92,000. BEST DEAL EVA!
When I find something I like that treats me well I stick with it and Hondas have been good to me. I bought my 95 Accord w/o a test drive - really. Bought the S w/o driving the actual car too but I had driven 2 others by then

Hi Don
You might do a post to say hello in the new member area of vintage

Doug I see you managed to post yet ANOTHER picture of your next track car Arg - and it's the only angle of that car I just don't like

My ex and I owned a Civic back in the day, then two Accords. After that, no more Hondas until I bought my first S. We branched off into Fiat, Audi and Mercedes.

Now, we're making a special exception for Vito....since Lexus has some alleged Japanese roots

My Honda history:
'98 Civic EX Sedan, bought used with 25k miles in 2000
traded on
'04 Acura TSX, bought new in '04
traded on
'03 S2000, bought used with 34k miles in May '07
Still have it.
That's 75% of my lifetime carbuying (bought a $2k Geo Prizm as my first car, couldn't find any <$2k Hondas)
my family:
'87 Accord Hatchback, bought new
traded on
'94 Integra Hatchback, bought new,
traded on
'06 Accord EX Coupe, still have
All were Dad (also has a Honda-engined Craftsman lawnmower)
Mom:
'01 Accord LX Sedan, bought new
given to sister (who still has)
'04 Accord EX-L, still have
Up next is probably a TL, G35, or ES350 for mom.
At one point, we owned 4 "Accords" ('01, '04, '06, and my '04 TSX)
I think my next car is going to be a cheapo Cherokee DD for snow and housework while we fix up our first house; I'd like a newer Honda but they don't make anything I want at a price I can afford right now. I might try to talk my sister into giving me a deal on her '01 Accord though...
