I'm very brand loyal to two companies actually, I'm as passionate about Honda as I am Nissan. For trucks clearly Honda can't compete, but I have to say, if I was in the market for an Accord/Altima type vehicle, it could indeed be more Nissan loyalty than Honda, and of course, if AWD was needed, it would be a Subaru for sure.

If anyone wonders why I am loyal to Honda you only have to know my first two vehicles...

In 1987 I bought my first car - a 78 AMC Concord. 1/2 what I know mechanically about cars came from owning this vehicle - all the items failed at some point

My second car and first new one was in 1989 - a Hyundai Excel sedan. What a POS!!! To this day I cringe when I see or hear that brand name. I traded it in at 3 years, 36,000 for a 7 year old Accord with 92,000. BEST DEAL EVA!

When I find something I like that treats me well I stick with it and Hondas have been good to me. I bought my 95 Accord w/o a test drive - really. Bought the S w/o driving the actual car too but I had driven 2 others by then

I had a 1974 Orange Honda Civc Hatchback that I bought new. It had a great engine but, the body eventually died.

My ex and I owned a Civic back in the day, then two Accords. After that, no more Hondas until I bought my first S. We branched off into Fiat, Audi and Mercedes.

'03 S2000, bought used with 34k miles in May '07
Still have it.

That's 75% of my lifetime carbuying (bought a $2k Geo Prizm as my first car, couldn't find any <$2k Hondas)

At one point, we owned 4 "Accords" ('01, '04, '06, and my '04 TSX)

I think my next car is going to be a cheapo Cherokee DD for snow and housework while we fix up our first house; I'd like a newer Honda but they don't make anything I want at a price I can afford right now. I might try to talk my sister into giving me a deal on her '01 Accord though...

'98 Civic: Sold with ~85k miles (60k by me)
'04 TSX: Sold with ~65k miles (65k by me)
'03 S2000: currently has about 44k miles, (~10k by me)

~135k Honda miles

'87 Accord: sold with 137k miles (137k by dad)
'94 Integra: sold with 145k miles (145k by dad, maybe a few by me )
'06 Accord: currently about 12k miles (12k by dad)

~294k Honda miles

'01 Accord: given to sister with about 70k miles, about 84k miles now (84k total)
'04 Accord: currently has about 56k miles

~140k Honda miles

Lawnmower: mowed an acre of lawn about 20 weeks/summer for about 5 years....how many miles is that? I dunno

~569k total miles, plus the lawnmower...call it 570k.
