What's your current fancy?
So, we regulars who aren't posting much anymore (everyone) know that Vintage is at an all time low for posts. I know I look every day but don't have much to say.
I've moved on to other fancies even though I still love my '07 S2000 to pieces and don't want to not have it to drive. (I'm driving it to the S2KCA Days in Hood River, Oregon in three weeks.) I washed my Laguna Blue baby tonight, my third S2000, and admired it, all shiny, blue, shapely and beautiful, even with the new little dent in the passenger-side rear wheel that the tire installers put in it last month. Heck, I scraped the passenger-side wheel (it's now on the driver's side) by turning too tightly on a right turn, so I'm not going to have a melt down, although I WON'T be back to Tucker Tires in Laguna Niguel, CA, with any car I care about. Oh, did I mention that Tucker Tires put the new rear tires on backwards? Yeah, that's why the driver's side is now on the passenger side. I told them the tires were on backwards before I drove away and they acted like, "What does a chick know?" Then they swapped the rear wheels.
So, the point is, what's up with you/us? What are you into nowadays? We've been friends for years and drifting away. I'm curious where everyone is drifting to. I know some of you/us don't drive S2000s anymore but that doesn't matter.
I was more involved with the local NSX group for a few years but now I'm spending more time with the Facebook group I started for ElliptiGOs. It's up to 460 members and the people are all friendly, like most new enthusiasts usually are.

I look everyday and post when appropriate. My detailing business is growing and I am doing a lot of training for the biking races at the Delaware Senior Olympics. Lots of visitors to our beach house this summer so time is limited. I am contemplating getting another sports car in the future so maybe that will stir up more interest.

I'm still here. If I weren't still chained to a desk all day, I probably would not be here as often. Some days I feel as if I'm talking to myself in some of the threads....
Anyway, time does move on and we do develop different interests. I spend a lot more time with my and share some of the photos here. I've gotten some good feedback and comments by PM that I am progressing with my hobby. That is much appreciated. Still a lot to learn. In the summer months, Rick and I try to take off on Sundays for a bit. We find new places to walk, stroll, or just check out. My trusty camera comes along all the time.
I still have grandkid duty though not as much as just a few years ago and that is OK with me. I have enjoyed some time off from the every week obligation.
And then there is the Y. Zumba, and another fitness classes take up my time. In the future I hope to spend more time there. The social aspect of being a member there has been a big surprise and a lot of fun.
I am on FB, staying in touch with family and friends. I frequent a local photography forum, but haven't met up with anyone.
NE S2000 group has nothing going on and I gave up on meet planning. We did attend a couple "Cars and Coffee" meets by invitation of the Porsche crowd and had a good time. I do miss the social aspect of the S2000 meets, and haven't even seen Legal Bill since SF2013!

Today is my wife’s last work day; she will retire after today. For the last thirty years she has been fully employed, loved her job, and was the highest achieving employee. Unfortunately, age biases and social issues at work had become such a sensitive and annoying issue that she resigned. Becoming a certified instructor in both Zumba and Yoga in order to teach seniors is her new goal.
So now, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives and I’ll probably become more of a traveler and companion than ever before. I’m positive about the future even though our dramatically increased togetherness will certainly change our lives.

After so many years we regulars have touched on almost every subject there is. When something new or interesting shows up it gets good feedback. I enjoy shooting the bull on some subjects and anything to do with sports cars will always be my first love.
Not to brag, but I attended the biggest all British carshow in the state yesterday and managed to bring home a nice all glass trophy. But the best part was on the drive over. I got stuck behind a farm tractor going up a hill on my back roads route. A Miata club drove up behind me going to the same event. We all passed the tractor and I thought I'd see if they could keep up with my 55-year old MG. My smile could not have been wider when I realized they were trying but could not even tho they had much stronger engines.

After about 5 years away after selling MY01 I jumped back on the boards when I started my hunt for a will admit to being a little sad to see so little happening in New England. Many of the names I knew seem to have moved on. Happy to see some still pop in now and then.
I hope to break into the vintage crowd at SF if I can work it into the schedule.

Patty, I still my '03 GPW "cream puff" and expect that I'll keep it for at least two more years. Like your Laguna, my GPW has a rash on one of its wheels and a couple stone chips here and there; but only 77,XXX miles on the I almost got the front bumper repainted last week at an old-time body shop in Central PA...but then they were too busy to fit in the work; I did a but was not too disappointed.
I am in touch with you and a half dozen other "s2k friends" by email to share stuff. Some of the things that I post here get ignored or trashed...so I don't check in very often. Gone are the days when there was an easier camaraderie here...and people didn't get so easily. Hard to believe that I used to check in here 6-8-10 times per day!
I also agree with what dlq/dave said....that almost every topic of interest has been discussed here and re-discussed. The first S2000's were delivered almost 15 years ago; and all of the AP1 and AP2 bugs have been diagnosed. I have also been very busy with planning for a "big number" high school reunion in October, plus helping my son Ben plan for his move at the end of the month from DC to start a PhD program in Waltham MA.
