It's been over 35 years since they've recorded a song. Two of them are gone. Still their music is as good and as important today as it ever was. What are your favorite Beatle songs? Why?

Mine are

Yesterday
Simply because I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded.

Eleanor Rigby
Because of the images in the song and the story. Whenever I hear the song I can see Eleanor in my minds eye. I also like the music.

Imagine
Just because it dares to imagine.

I like all the tunes by Beatles. Technically, I don't think Imagine is a Beatles song just as I don't consider Wings' songs Beatles.

Yes, that's true. Imagine belongs to John Lennon. Yet somehow I can't divorce that songe from the group. I know that you're right but in my mind whenever I hear it I think of the Beatles.

When I was in high school, my government class teacher would play Beatles songs on her record player towards the end of the class (last class of the day) and she played Strawberry Fields Forever. I can still remember her wishing to share the Beatles songs with us.
