^ How are you making out with the blueberries? We eat a lot of berries. They are good for you.

Yay...the +1 will be home in a few hours from basically two weeks of travel. I made a reservation this evening at a new Italian place downtown DC called Fiola. It's a tough get, so I hope the food is worth it. The rest of the weekend will be very quiet, except for the usual visit with my parents. I assume a lot of it will be spent outside, since the weather is supposed to be spectacular.

Tomorrow night we're going over with another couple to a neighbor's house for drinks and then we're all going out to dinner. This is uber great news since most of the people in our 'hood are not overly outgoing (to say the least). We're looking forward to it. Rest of the weekend will be spent piddling in the garden.

Went to the new restaurant, Fiola...all I can say is WOW!! It was really, really, good. Dessert may have been the best - light and airy ricotta donuts. And some lemon gelato. We are now trying to recover.

Sounds like fun, Deb. Enjoy your dinner Val.

There is a "happening" at the local airport tomorrow. Planes and classic cars, and I'm not sure what else. I'm going to take the grandkids, Ryan will enjoy it, I think Ally will too. Ally's request is to go to a specific playground, so we'll squeeze that in as well. Packing a picnic lunch. Shrimp cocktail for Ally and Grandma. She likes it! Ryan is a peanut butter kid, no shrimp cocktail for him.

Dinner with friends tomorrow night.

While I'm with the children tomorrow Rick can tend to some yard work, maybe we can have some "us" time on Sunday. Hoping the weather allows a little excursion in the S, although mostly cloudy weather is predicted.

Long weekend coming up. Yay! Not much on the agenda, except celebrating my dad's 95th birthday on Sun.

Well I did take the grandkids for a ride in a small plane this past weekend. Good time mostly, except Ryan was a bit green at the end.

Rick got some yard work done, and yesterday's hope for some nice weather and some S time didn't pan out. Back to gray skies again.

Rick's birthday is this weekend, so we had an early celebration on Saturday and had dinner at a Portuguese restaurant we hadn't tried yet. Nice place. Food was decent, not great.

This weekend is our official "plant the garden" weekend, so we are hoping for good weather. Also have a cookout to attend. We'll see what happens with the weather.

^ Speaking of golf, our weekend just got a bit busier. Sat the +1 will be playing golf at our good friends' country club with the husband. Then we ladies will join the gents for dinner there. Also planning to have lunch with another girlfriend of mine on Mon.

Celebrating my birthday with strippers, beer, and my new Audi R8 GT. Or I might go out for dinner and a movie, depending on what my lovely bride wants to do.
