Going have an early lunch at the Bass Pro Shop in Hanover on Saturday and then watch them feed the fish in their huge aquarium. We will continue down to Richmond to visit my Mom. She is not doing too well but she is eating better. (she is down to #82) She is in a very nice assisted living facility with a good nurse to patient ratio. We hired a nursing assistant to help with feeding her meals and to take her to activities. I try to get down there at least once a week but I have been fighting a bout with bronchitis so it's been several days since I've seen her. It is very sad.

Sorry to hear your Mom isn't doing well, Barbara.

Sorry to hear about your mom.

I love Bass Pro Shop. I can easily spend a day there.

We have kid duty tomorrow overnight and into Saturday. Rick has a ton of yard work he wants to get done, so if weather permits, maybe I'll hit the zoo with the kids, and give him a chance to accomplish something.

We keep getting promised warm days, but the sea breeze keeps us cooler. The S is still hiding, but soon, very soon, it will come out. Maybe even Saturday evening if the temps do warm up.

Thanks all for the best wishes.

Michiganders certainly seem to love FL, especially the Lakeland area where the Tigers have had spring training for a zillion years. Almost every single family I know that goes south for the winter goes to FL. Many other states hold more attraction for me but we have a daughter living there so that's our excuse to helping the economy.

We have gone to Naples 3x and catch some of the Twins games in Ft. Myers. We love it especially in winter.

PlantPixie: if you're fighting bronchitis, it's probably best you don't expose your mother. Absence hurts, but sometimes it's for the best.

DLQ04: congratulations on the 42nd anniversary!

Lots of my partners from Minneapolis have second homes in Naples.

I've been on medication for a week so I think I'll be OK. I'm taking a mask if I feel I need it. My coughing is gone and the congestion is almost gone. I'll try today to get some exercise ... that helps break up the congestion.

Thanks for your concern!
