My bro and SIL made it to town, and the +1 returned with his kids, so we went out to dinner last night then came back to our place and watched football and the Winter Classic hockey - which the Caps won! Today the kids leave, then the +1 and I will get reacquainted before I leave tomorrow for Virginia Beach.

I'm hoping the tree comes down today so my exercise bike can go back to it's regular spot.

It's hard enough making myself ride it w/o having to drag it 1/2 way across the living room first!

Our tree came down the 27th, always good to get the house back to normal.

I agree, Levi. As much as I reallllly enjoy the Christmas stuff, normalcy is good.

I would have taken the tree down on the 27th but I ain't the only one in the house

Tom loves christmas - I think it's because he gets to shop almost every day for an entire month but he claims otherwise

[QUOTE=Lainey,Dec 31 2010, 03:20 PM]As a matter of fact, chow mein is a regular offering at our home. A Fall River, MA company makes the fried noodles and sells them boxed with magic powder to make the gravy. Add in some onions and chop suey veggies and you've got yourself a meal. Side dish of rice optional.

I remember eating chow mein as a kid. My mother used to buy the Chun King canned chow mein. And my MiL makes it from scratch occasionally. I had never heard of making a sandwich out of it, though, until I met Rori.
You can have it again!

Chow Mein
Oh if Rori hears any blogging about off taste to the noodles, that issue has been corrected. We had tossed a couple of boxes ourselves. The company mentioned a new oil for cooking, but most think something was awry in the production when the plant re-opened after a fire.
