Finally flying home today
I've been working out in the desert all week after flying into el paso last week.
Man I am looking forward to sleeping im my bed for a change.
up every day at 5:00 to catch a quick breakfast a 6:00 before driving 45 miles out to the test site.
work 10:00 hours then drive back to the hotel and get dinner.
Then fall back in bed and so it again the next day.

Yup my bed is looking good.

^Good for you, Jerry. How does the weather compare at the two places?

It's a dreary day here and will be for a while. Doing weights this morning, maybe the gym elliptical, vacuuming, and other "fun" stuff.

The +1 and his kids just arrived in NJ. I sent them via an alternate route - BW Pkway/I-695 in Baltimore/I-83 to Harrisburg, PA/I-78 to NJ. The only slow part was the last five miles once I-78 hit the NJ Turnpike. They said it was a beautiful drive, and they avoided the ongoing
I-95 disaster at the Newark, DE toll plaza, where there were massive delays at Thanksgiving due to construction. And more promised for Christmas/New Year's. Only took about 30 minutes longer.

^
I don't mind a longer drive if it means we keep moving vs sitting in traffic.

We often take a longer route on road trips to avoid problem areas.

Hope the +1 has a good time with his family.

I ran to the book store this AM, my son and the grandkids came to lunch. I think he was looking for a free lunch

Baked a few cookies for our gathering tomorrow, heading out in a while to Rick's favorite ale house, for a casual dinner, with a few local friends.

Tomorrow it will start to get crazy here around 3:30. Looking forward to it. The grandson is the perfect age for Christmas and presents.

^Same here. I drive an extra 15 miles when I go to Acton to avoid the 5 freeway.

We were up around las cruces and out in the desert.
So the elevation at the pass is 5900 ft. so it's a high alpine desert.
most of the week was low 30's upper 20's at night and upper 60's during the day.
it got rather windy during the day most days but wednesday it was wicked.
lot of dust and crap in the air.

I'm not one to easily throw stones since I'm not exactly a petite but....
on the flight back El Paso to Dallas, I got a sumo size moose stuffed into the seat next to me.
He had to run 450 lbs. can you say seat belt extension?
