We are headed to Dearborn, MI and Greenfield Village. They have a special event, Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village, that we have attended before. The "town" is decorated in the style of the turn of the century (1900's not 2000's) with strolling carolers, bonfires, ice skating and horse drawn wagon & Model T rides. It is beautiful!
Oh my, what a great idea you just gave me. THANKS. My daughter and her family will be coming from Florida to stay with us over the holidays. We've never done that. I'm assuming it runs through the holidays ???.

We have about 6" of snow presently in lower MI
The last weekend in the 26-29 December. Good luck with getting tickets. Many dates sell out early.

Taking the +1 out Fri night for his birthday dinner at a Cajun restaurant we like - a bit late since we are spending the last couple of days with his son before he leaves us for Memphis on Thurs. Sat is a new production of "Gypsy". Should be good. Then Mon we are having dinner with my ex and his gf, who are visiting from Argentina, and some friends. We are having our traditional Christmas Eve dinner at a famous old restaurant here called 1789. After Christmas things quiet down until New Year's Eve.

Prime tickets can be hard to get. We wanted a Saturday before Christmas but had to settle for this coming Sunday night. Luckily I don't have to work Monday so we can stay an extra night. With that, we will be able to take the Rouge Assembly Plant tour on Saturday and maybe the museum on Sunday.

You will have to enjoy it for me. My daughter really wanted to go but said her one year old, they have found out the hard way, does not like long drives on late nights.

It's supposed to be in the 60's* here. I might just sit in the sun on my front stoop!

Heading to Ikea for what should be one last buying binge there. I've also found what is supposedly a high end aquarium shop, that people tell me should even meet my excessively high persnickety standards, but that may have two wait until after Xmas
