This Sat is Clarendon Day, which is a community up the road from us. In honor of the occasion, the +1 will be running a 5K and a 10K! Guess he's running a longer distance to prepare for the Rock and Roll half marathon in Las Vegas in Nov. Sun I'm attending a baby shower, something I've not done in a long, long time.

The +1 runs the 5K at 8 and the 10K at 9. Before the 5K and between races, which both end near the condo, he has to walk (fast) uphill about 1.5 miles to the start line. So it will be the equivalent of a half marathon by the time all is said and done. I'm meeting him at the end of the 10K to drag him home.

Baby shower tomorrow will not be a conventional one. Apparently there will be two burlesque dancers and we will be dancing, also. The family is Greek and a little crazy.

Crazy is good every once in awhile.

Practice saying "OH-pah!" and you'll fit right in.

I'm going out for dinner tonight to gorge myself on Buffalo wings, while I still can. I'll make it a point to eat plenty of celery and carrot sticks with the blue cheese dressing, too, so I get my veggies.

Went to a car show today. Several MGs and a tricked out Austin Healey. I wasn't even sure it was an Austin Healey. They ruined it. Saw a lot of interesting old cars and a few new ones sprinkled thoughout. +1 really enjoyed himself. That makes me happy.

MsP: I want to hear all about that baby shower!!!!

Saw the movie Rush. Hope to enjoy the car Sunday morning, it may be the first day in many months where the weather will be cool and dry enough for a drive with the top off.

Lots of kid duty. Granddaughter was off and about, but I had the grandson. Took him to soccer and ended up inviting his two cousins to join us for lunch, pumpkin shopping and pumpkin painting. It was hectic, but the boys were good, and in some ways it was easier than trying to entertain the grandson on my own.

Tonight we took a cruise in the S for dinner. Gorgeous night. Tomorrow we may head to Newport, RI
