son of a &*@$%^ spoke to soon.
damn valve body cross threaded on the way out.
Now I have to replace the whole F'ing assembly.......

and now I get to play with fire and torches.
Bummer. Can you re-tap the threads in the valve body, rather than replace the whole thing?
it's a sunday. When they built the house they didn't put in shut off valves except for the whole house.
If I screw it up once it's apart, I'm really screwed.
I have to replace the cover plates anyways. so it won't be that much more money to do the whole thing just the annoyance.
I can sweat a pipe with the best of 'em so i'm not real worried about that.
I'm more disappointed that you can't by MAP gas anymore. Propane is ~1500° cooler.

well gee golly, I tell ya, that was a good time....
and it only took two trips to home despot.

that's the new one.... no leaks, turns on, turns off.

Been listening to Linda Ronstadt all weekend since we won't hear anything live ever again. Stone Ponys through Nelson Riddle and Trio. What a voice! And I'd forgotten about Andrew Gold's role in arranging and producing so many of those songs.

My biggest crush in the 70's - like I had a shot.

Loved her music. Always wished I looked like her.

had a wonderful time with Xzanna (Carolinas Forum) today. She brought me a gift, a big ceramic chicken! I have several chickens in my kitchen, so now I have another one, a great big one! Love it! There is just something wonderful about the comraderie between the S2ki'ers. It was great.

Very sad about Linda Ronstadt not being able to sing anymore. Such a loss...I saw her in concert many years ago. What a voice.

My niece and her hubby are visiting. We will probably go downtown tomorrow, sightsee a bit and have lunch.

I finally got out and played 18 for the first time this year since early May.
It felt good to be out in the nice fall weather with friends.
As for my game, Let's just say I knew better than to put any money on the table.

I got nothing. It's hot and my right foot hurts again/still. I finally made a doctors appointment for next Wednesday. I figure either the Enbrel isn't working for me anymore or I really do have something wrong with the foot.

I was supposed to go meet a kitten that's up for adoption but it's so hot that the dog rescue with the kitten, OCPoundHounds cancelled the meet and greet. Here's the email:

Due to the intense heat tomorrow 90+ with 50+ humidity and the fact the Orange PetCo will not allow to have our dogs (or cat) inside the store in the A/C, we have cancelled our event. We will go ahead and process your application and we’ll touch base with you no later than mid-week to update you. We have had an overwhelming response to Sushi so we are going through all the applications.

So sorry for the disappointment but we cannot have our Poms (and cat) suffering in such intense heat.
