Congrats and happy motoring.
Thanks. Bastard.

I've committed to leaving it stock as far as the engine, suspension, etc. go, but I've got my eye on some Carbon fiber exterior pieces (hood scoop, for one), and some Titanium engine compartment stuff.

After driving the car for a while, I was pleasantly surprised at how the run-flat tires performed. Not quite as good as regular tires, but noticeably better performing than the run-flats MINI was using the last time I drove one a few years back.

I saw one like yours today, but it had a black top. There are quite a few around here.

There are a bunch here in The Villages. There's even a Villages MINI club, I've been told.
I haven't seen any white MINIs here, and I don't recall seeing any single-colored ones like mine, either.

Speaking of The Villages, we're meeting with a real estate agent this weekend to get an idea of where our house sits on the market. There doesn't seem to be any comps for Rori and I to use to get a feel for things, particularly with all the improvements that have been made to the house during the time we've owned it. The RE agent's name is Debby Boone. I hope she lights up my life. I'm sure she's NEVER heard that one before.

Tearing up? Good grief, Val. I'm so much better off now. I no longer have to go through the contortions of a Hindu fakir just to get in and out of the car. More importantly, I no longer have to shift. Aside from being easier on my leg, it also leaves both my hands free, so I can text and chat on my iPhone, while watching pron on my iPad.
And the conveniently placed cup holders flanking the gear shift handle - that were so conspicuously missing from the S2000 - are a perfect fit for both my bong and my bottle of absinthe. Happy motoring, indeed.

Given the b-zillion paint options for a MINI I would agree; I don't recall seeing any all white's.

The +1 is traveling next week to Mobile, so this weekend will be fairly quiet. I'm making our famous lasagna for a dinner party while he is gone (at the home of friends). Too bad he has to miss it. I'll try to have extra so he can have some when he gets back.
