What are you doing this coming weekend?

The S2000 is detailed and waiting patiently in the driveway for our last trip tomorrow morning. I'm scheduled to be at the dealer at 10:00 AM. I'm hoping that by noon tomorrow I'll be well on my way to earning my first speeding ticket....
for it being the "last" trip.
In fact, now that the car will be gone, I think I'm going to get yet another tattoo. One to commemorate my association with the Vintage forum. It took me a while to come up with it, but it had to be something completely twisted, cryptic, and amusing (at least to me, if no one else). All that remains is to pick the type of script I want used.

I'm in Sacramento heading over to the zoo, soon. Arrived last night and had the lovely surprise of having my baby girl come to my hotel to spend the night. It was like a slumber party with the king bed. She was very bummed yesterday because they had to put down one of the animals so after spending time with another zoo keeper, she came to see me. I'm 10 minutes from the zoo, compared to her 30 minute drive from home.

Just got home with my new car. What a completely painless process it turned out to be. And not at all what I expected.
It was also nice to hit the accelerator. Thanks to nine years of S2000 ownership, I had forgotten what torque is like.

We'll be looking for your initial review after you put some miles on the tach. I know it's a fun car to drive. Torque? Too bad you didn't eventually go for the Rotrex on your S. Torque is pretty good at 269.

Just brought the passenger side rear tire in to have that pesky nail removed .
Apparently the tires don't do a very good job of holding air in them with a chunk of metal stabbed through them.
Go figure.

Believe it or not, we woke up to the same thing this morning with Rori's car. Only it was two screws in the rear driver's side tire. Pumped it full of Fix-a-Flat, drove it to the MINI dealer and back. Rori just took it over to Sam's Club where she bought the tires. They're replacing it under their road hazard insurance policy that came with the tires.

Maybe, but I've got "sports mode", paddle shifters, no clutch pedal screwing with my leg, no turbo lag, no road noise, no pain climbing in and out, and an auto tranny. And I got around 34 MPG, while playing around in Orlando with the car today. What you got, Honda boy?

I'm much happier with the hardtop. I don't need to be breathing exhaust gases while driving around town.
On a completely different topic, Mike and I have been talking about a possible get-together on Anna Maria Island in September. Nothing concrete yet, but keep an eye on your September schedule, if you're able.
