Visited with +1's family yesterday and they're coming for dinner tonight. They're staying nearby and will be in town for about a week.

Picking up a rental LOG SPLITTER at 3 pm and helping with a community LOG SPLITTING session this evening and extending into Sat afternoon!

The "victim" is the remains of a 100' tall oak tree that was taken down in a common area near the front of our home last December. Do you have any idea how many 18" long logs result from a tree that big

With all the major branches, it's a lot more than 100' divided by 1.5', Gene!
Have fun Jerry I worked as a logger this winter and it gets old really fast. You should enjoy it though its nice to be helping out your community.
With 3 hours of work on Fri eve and about 6 hours work on Sat, we now have about 6 cords of oak (with a little cherry) stacked up for pick-up by interested residents of our 35 houses. Luckily, we had a number of 20 and 30somethings to help we "senior" workers. It was a great group effort.

I would have been glad to loan you my log splitter.
Thanks Gene, but it was only 99 bucks for 24 hours As much as we the 90 minute drive to your home, it would not be fun hauling a SPLITTER behind the S for all those miles

PS: How to install a trailer hitch on an S2000? Maybe Texas Jim has a "how to" video....

Grilling two chickens on my Weber to take over for Kay (my assistant at work). She broke her ankle while I was away at SP13.

She is doing a lot better now. The doctor put in some screws and she had her permanent cast on this past Friday. One of my other coworker's spouses went to her house and builds her a ramp. She will be on the cast for the next six weeks

Wednesday starting our drive to Disney World. Meeting daughters, spouses, and 4 grand kids there on Saturday. Should be a very "interesting" week.
