The seats I chose are a combination of leather and fabric. The fabric is a very tightly woven matte black. I don't know what it's made of, though, but it looks like pretty rugged material. The standard is upholstery is "leatherette" AKA pleather, which I didn't like.

On reflection I suppose you're already quite familiar with black leather seats and hot weather. That's why I chose cloth for the Focus - well that and they were way cheaper.

Did you ever source oil filters for the S?

The seats I want are a $1k upgrade, but what the hell. I figure I'm saving a bunch of cash by not buying the JCW edition.

After reaching an agreement with the dealer, I decided not to bother with the PCX oil filters. I'll just pick up a K&N or something at Autozone. I'll have one more oil change done, then the next owner can deal with it.

There's even a Villages MINI club that's fairly active from what I've heard.

Sweet!!

Black looks really dramatic and way cool, buts it is difficult to keep it that way.

We are celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary this weekend (talk about vintage!) throwing them a surprise party Saturday.

It looks as though I'm going to be playing nurse (Ratched) this weekend.

Our granddaughter turns 12 today. Where did the time go? I'm picking her and her brother up after work. We'll have a cake for her. Tomorrow she and a friend will spend some time with me. Ryan has other plans.

We have a couple yards of mulch being delivered that will occupy some of our time this weekend. Always stuff to do. It may be a stay at home weekend for the most part. Maybe a Saturday out to dinner/evening cruise in the S.

My sister in law and her son are due to arrive in town today. I suppose we'll be visiting with them this weekend.
