Flight is overrated. Cars is where it's at.
Try driving to Europe.
Agree nothing like the freedom of flying Motorcycles right behind with cars. But the ultimate is an open cockpit biplane or maybe a Spitfire with the canopy open

The birds of paradise exhibit was great. Took lots of pics. Will post some. Two guys spent eight years finding and photographing 39 different species of the birds. They all look different and do different kinds of mating dances. Amazing.

Wow...She's a clean Ol "V".....!!!! Looks great..
Denny, that's not my friend's plane. I just found that pic on Google. This one appears to be an early model, probably from the 50's. His is a 64, I think, but is also pristine.
OK...Gene....I had a very good friend of mine ( Dentist of course ) had a '60 model "V-Tail".... completely re conditioned, new imron, Tri-color paint, new interior, King Gold Crown avionics...with WX radar..had the throw-over yoke...what a gorgeous ride ....!!! !Doc had it for 10 years....till his first major heart attack...We used to have some really great times in her...She was one sweet "V"...!!
She handled like a dream.....I really miss old 80HL......

That's great ....!!!! The V-Tail is a little hot rod....much nicer than an F-33 ( in my opinion ).....

...... but no compare to the A-36....!!! Now that's the "Caddy of the line"...!!!

Nice to fly, but not so much as a pax in the back seats. Due to the lack of a vertical stabilizer, riding back there in any kind of turbulence feels like the pilot is constantly pushing the rudder ruddervator pedals left and right. Of course, since the crew is over the CG, they don't feel a thing!

BTW, I found a pic of my friend's Bonanza, which was taken on a trip to visit the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio, in 2010:

Sorry about taking this thread so far

If it's not too rainy today, I'm going to walk to the bank and make a stop at the farmers market on the way back. Get some of that exercise I've been missing. It's about three miles total.

Hope to get some time in deadheading and garden cleanup in the yard. Tons of housework beckons as well. Nothing exciting going on here.
