Had a fun day today. A great high energy Zumba class this AM. This afternoon out with the granddaughter. She is fun to shop with. Of course she prefers the shopping to be all about her.

Heading out in a while for Portuguese food with some friends. The restaurant has a shrimp dish I really like.

Watch the tape delay of the F1 in Malaysia -- with 8 inches of fresh snow outside, not much else.

Carl ran the Elva. Jeff K. owned and ran the Sprite in question back in the day. But the car has been with my brother for the past 25+ years.

Going to a very special Healy club meet tomorrow. The owner of a restoration shop that purchased one of my brother's former race cars (late model Austin Healey Sprite - National Champion car in 1978) is starting the restoration and the club is going to the shop for the kick-off. My brother will be the honored guest. It will be very cool to see this car brought back to its former glory.
Very cool, Bill. I think your brother should host another rally for us. That was fun.
Maybe that could be an event at the Fall Crawl?

Wow, I never heard you mention you brother and racing before. I'd love to hear more.
Unless you followed SCCA autocross, you wouldn't have heard.
I'd post some links, but the page has out last name. I don't think it is in my best interest to publish the stuff. I'll PM the link to you.

A buddy of mine a year or two ago bought an ex-autocross car for $2k: 1967 AH Sprite, rollbar, comp. sway bar, adjustable rear shocks, 1275 balanced performance engine with Weber carbs, dynoed 107 hp at 4500 rpm and it will turn 7500 rpm. I thought that was a LOT of car for very little.

Sounds like a fantastic deal if it was turnkey.

The +1 returned from his business trip last night. I lose him on Mon for a longer one. So making the most of our two days. Tonight we are having dinner with one of my AZ cousins and his new lady friend at a French bistro downtown. My bro and SIL came from AZ on Thurs and went to NC for a wedding. They return tomorrow, so will see them. Mon my nephew and his gf arrive. Thurs my sis arrives. So big rel week. Cherry blossoms are finally peaking, so everyone should be happy about that.

I'm taking an old tv and a monitor to the recycling center. Then I have to get the dog some dog food. I might try changing out the diff fluid in the BMW. I have several car projects to deal with if I get motivated.

Zumba in a little while, to counter my bad snacking habits, then some one on one time with the grandson. Lunch, maybe an arcade or something. It's still too cool (and very windy today) to enjoy much outdoors.

Dinner with my and we'll see what tomorrow brings. There are the usual weekend chores of laundry, cleaning, etc, that must be squeezed in too..

The +1 did a run down by the Tidal Basin yesterday. There was only one tree with any blossoms on it. All the tourists were mobbed around this one tree. Should be much better today with the warm temps. But it's been a s-l-o-w process this year. Took a cab to the restaurant last night at 6. Traffic was a mess! Still lots of cars trying to get near the Tidal Basin. I can't figure out why oh why people try to drive there. It's insane!
