Just got back from a really pleasant 45 minute or so walk to the village with my girl, Sally. As we were crossing the bridge over the marsh entering the village we noticed a huge flock of pelicans nesting in the pluff mud under the bridge and a few were casually floating around in the marsh water. That's something I don't get to see every day. There were probably 45 or 50 of them and a few flying in/out as we watched. Sally was mesmerized. I guess she's never seen birds bigger than she is.

St Patrick's Day Sun but not sure we are doing anything for that. What we are doing Sat is celebrating eight years of unwedded bliss. Headed to our fave Lebanese restaurant, called Me Jana.

I'll be visiting my kids Sunday and Monday in Santa Barbara. Both of them at the same time! Goodie!

Driving up to Myrtle Beach for the Run to the Sun Car show. There are probably thousands of cars to be seen. Most of them are older cars. +1 is excited. Me . . . not so much. Traffic and parking are going to be painful.

My old 'single days' stomping grounds. Love Myrtle Beach.

Well, we started out for the car show and realized the traffic was just too nasty to get there and get a parking spot, so we turned left instead and went south instead of north. We had a lovely walk on the waterfront in Georgetown and lunch overlooking the bay. It was much nicer than we expected. Wonder why we always say we need to do this more often?

I'm heading to Santa Barbara today to be with my kiddos. Couldn't ask for anything better. Kyle has kept a beard and mustache and Christa has purple hair. We plan on going to the Santa Barbara Zoo, naturally.
