^ Yep, on my last trip with the ex a long time ago, we loved it so much we never made it to Bar Harbor.

OMG! Love Boothbay Harbor. Jim and I went there some years ago. Beautiful and peaceful place.

Either one would be a great choice. Another nice place you may not have considered is Camden. Camden harbor is beautiful and usually filled with boats of various types. Camden also has some nice little shops and restaurants.

Love Ogunquit. A short stay there, or just spending a day is fine. You have to walk Marginal Way. A great little path that overlooks the ocean. Walking on the beach is easy, hard packed sand, so no sinking in the sand while walking. There are a few restaurants in Perkins Cove that are nicely situated. You can go for a short boat ride, or arrange a fishing trip from there too. There are several shops in Perkins Cove, and many more shops and restaurants in the center.

Just a note, many hotels in the Ogunquit require a three night stay in the summer.

I remember having dinner at a place on Perkins Cove. Lovely little area.

^ If you're looking for some good dining, Portland is the place to be in Maine. It's gaining a national reputation for its restaurants. We're probably going to spend a couple days there this summer before heading up the coast to Rockland.

the wife enjoyed Rockland back in December when we got all artsy.
it was off-season. I can easily imagine it getting nutso in the summer.

It's 75 degrees and gorgeously sunny right now. The possibilities are endless! BBQ/car meet at 4pm today. Maybe a trip to K1 go karts after.

Best I enjoy this weather right now because it's supposed to drop back into the mid 50s by Tuesday with a possibility of rain.

Good for you! My weekend (and probably several weekends to follow) is filled with teaching the dog to walk on a leash (easier said than done). I will be wearing a coat though since our weather has taken a very cold turn. Highs only in the low 50s. Brrrr.
