I can't tell you how many hours I watched . . . what a great group of drivers this year! Great racing. Montoya can drive 'sane' when he wants to. Audi really showed there stuff in GT. I never did hear what the Cayman had for engine in the GTX winner.

I didn't make it to the Detroit auto show and probably won't. Sorry yours was such a bummer Gene.

This may be my last kid free weekend for a while, though I didn't have as many kid free weekends as expected. I don't mind though, I miss them when I don't see them. Not much going on. In this weather we kind of stick close to home. A friend usually has a super bowl party. However, we don't have much interest in the game. If we go, it will only be to socialize for a while and laugh at the commercials.

Having a Super Bowl get together today at my mother's. Taking over Red Hot and Blue Memphis BBQ (pulled pork, slab of dry ribs, baked beans and potato salad) and I made some of my Eastern NC coleslaw. Yum...my sis and bro are in town. We will play some games, also. Maybe Quiddler or Uno.

well even though i hadn't planned to I'll be washing the kitchen floor this morning.
My sugar bowl was empty so I had to get the 10 lb bag out of the pantry from over my head.
It slipped out of my hand and fell to the floor, veritably exploding on impact.

It was like a slow motion, Sam Peckinpah movie sequence, where I could watch but do nothing about the pending inevitable outcome.

Thurs we head for Austin TX for a few days...should be a fantastic trip. Lots of plans for things to see, do and eat. Will be meeting up with an old family friend and his wife for dinner. Was hoping to catch up with TX Jim and Chris, but not to be this time. Maybe we can make another one down to Houston and San Antonio.
