Yep, looking forward to the first hockey game of the season tomorrow night! Yay! And Nats tix go on sale tomorrow, too. Big sports day. Sun we are going to install a new flat-screen TV in my mother's bedroom. The old TVs are slowly leaving her house. One more to go.

I've had a couple of massages, and after the fact I'm nice and relaxed, but typically not full of energy for indoor sports, maybe it's different if you've had the couples massage? I'm sure Scooter will give us the info.

I decided to make this a three day weekend. I don't get the holiday on Monday, but I've got some things to do around the house that are calling out to me. It will be nice to have a day to myself to putter and not rush around. Maybe I'll blast some music and while I clean.

It's payback time! Tomorrow my friend is going to help me split some wood, though not nearly as much as I have helped him with in the past. Here are the logs from the oak tree that need splitting, plus a partial view of my wood-rack:

Oh, the junky lawnmower and other crap in the background are my neighbor's, and I have "hinted" to him that he should dispose of them, to no avail.

I already got the S and NSX cleaned up. One blue Honda to go. I really should work on restaining my 4 teak outdoor chairs and table. My back aches just thinking about it.

Log splitting results: About 3/4 of a cord of red oak split and stacked, one little finger fingernail ripped off (mine) due to my clumsiness. Lots of blood and pain. Looks like a crime scene. Finger wrapped and bleeding stopped. Consuming mass quantities of pain killers. (and gin!)

Next winter should be nice and warm when the oak is properly seasoned (it better be!)

Sorry, no pics. (You wouldn't want to see them...trust me.)

Sounds painful...at least you have the fruits of your labor to show for it.
