Val dining on Christmas dish ware and entertaining and Dean getting tattooed. I got nothing compare to that. Enjoy you two!

I'm kid free again, but had made Ally and appointment for a haircut. Maybe I'll suggest she invite a friend along and we can have a girls' lunch. I have the picture poster ready for her to give her friend.

Dinner with friends on Saturday night and maybe some pool shooting at our place afterwards.

I need to pick up a few stocking stuffers for Mom on Sunday, but overall not too many demands on my time this weekend.

Go for it, Val. You can always hide it with a little make up if +1 doesn't like it.

I'm hoping to go to Cars and Coffee this Saturday. Last weekend I hurt too much. Delayed reaction to my ElliptiGO crash on 12-3-2012.

^Edited date. Oops.

My daughter Stephanie will be home from college. She and I are going to our annual Nutcracker performance on Saturday.

Then Sunday is +1 Chris' and my wedding anniversary. Maybe we get a room??!

Congrats Jim & Chris. By all means - get a room! Otherwise, you might get arrested.

Sneak down to the new house and christen it. Congrats!

Patty - what happened? Maybe you mentioned it and I forgot.

Jim and Deb, (and JF), I previously posted about my crash on facebook, but not here. I did well to make it one entire year with my black 11-speed ElliptiGO before I crashed. Others on the facebook ElliptiGO group haven't fared as well.

On Monday, Dec 3rd, it finally was clearing up in the afternoon, after a rainy weekend. I knew the Aliso Creek path would be slick so I was being careful on the wet leaves and riding slower than I usually do, but when the path made a 90 degree left-turn from asphalt onto a wooden bridge, I instantly smacked down on the bridge, when my ElliptiGO slid out from under me. It happened so fast I didn't know it was coming. I just laid there, for a while, thinking OW!!!

I was only a mile from the car, although 10 miles into my 33 mile ride. I decided to go back to the car since I was bleeding in two places and my left hip was aching. Two days later, last Wednesday, I was back out there and did my 33 miles.

Last Thursday, I started doing my weights routine and I think that's what messed me up. My left buttock/hip started hurting a lot. Went to the doctor and the chiropractor on Friday. Seems I have a muscle connecting to the sacrum that is very tight and irritating the sciatic nerve. Been to the chiro 3 times and it's slowly getting better. I'm following chiro directions and have not ridden or done weights in a week. I'll give it until next Monday and then I may try riding again. Don't think I could do it now, without hurting anyway. I hate to not work out but it could be worse, for sure.

So sorry you've had all this going on Patty. Hope it heals properly.

Looks as if we'll have super weather this weekend, so we're meeting up with friends who are coming down from VA for the weekend, a couple they know who live down here and we'll be going to Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen, then dinner after. My friends will be staying over at least one night, so I'll be cleaning and getting ready for their visit. It'll be a busy weekend.
