Sounds like folks are busy. Enjoy the vacation time, Dean. Patty, glad you had a good weekend, Jerry hope your head doesn't blow up from all the culture. Glad you had a good day with your daughter, Val.

I can't believe it's 7:30 on Sunday. Another weekend GONE!

I did some shopping yesterday with Ally. A little Grandma/Ally time. She picked out a few things for her Christmas gifts. She doesn't mind knowing her presents.

Today they both came over for a while. Ryan and I headed out for a bit. The plan after that was for them to help me decorate my tree. I didn't get that much help. It's a little early for my tree, but it's small and not in the way.

After they left I wrapped presents. One would think I took a dose of "Grinch be Gone."

Always great to have friends. One of them will become special.

Dean, thank you for that^!

I flew into Sacramento and then drove south to a Hampton Inn, in Manteca. We had a great time, even with the rain, and I was the passenger riding to Jamestown, first. I received an education on steam trains, as they were stoking up an engine to drive it up to Columbia. Saw the round house and turntable in Jamestown, along with many engines. Then up to Colombia to look around, and on to a walk around Angels Camp, before a tasty dinner in Sonora. My friend lives in Riverbank and is special. Lots of good feelings there but is it enough to make me/us work through the things that aren't in alignment? The older you get, the harder it is to match up. In any case, we both had a wonderful weekend and have each other for friends, now.

Can't have too many friends. Nice pic! It is kind of hard to get everything aligned, but just concentrate on the deal breakers. Other stuff is negotiable.

We have a nice little warming trend going on around here. I hope it lasts through the weekend. I'll be working on Sunday, but I hope I can take Saturday off.

Like people that don't enjoy traveling or small cars. I heard that a few times!

Taking the +1 to dinner Fri evening at our fave Lebanese restaurant. His birthday is Mon. Other than that might get Christmas cards done and put up the decorations. Running a bit late.

Was planning to go to Nights of a Thousand Candles this weekend, but got a call yesterday from a friend in Virginia who is coming down for a visit on the 18th with her bf from NC. We'll all go to Nights and then out to dinner on the 18th. I'm thinking of buying some tix to a Christmas show in MB, but not sure. I FINALLY pulled out the Christmas dishes and put them in the dw, moved all the day to day dishes out of the cabinet and will replace them with the Christmas stuff. Finished decorating last week, so its time to dine on Christmasware. I'll be having a little older lady over next Wednesday for lunch. Looking forward to it. She was one of the first people I met when we started coming down here. Really sweet little lady. It'll be fun. She's a real trip.

I'm getting tattooed (again) - a band of Celtic hounds with the names of all my dogs past and present worked into the design. I'm also getting a tattoo of Tom Terrific and Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog on my right shoulder. Think what you will, but I'm going to make for an interesting corpse when I'm dead.
