Good luck...a nephew in AZ is a big bass fisherman. Goes to tournaments and stuff.

Hope you guys have a nice visit. I don't think we'll be having anyone visit until mid-November. I'll be taking care of my 2 little granddogs this weekend while my daughter visits friends in VA. She has a week off from school and wants to see some good buds in VA. I'll appreciate anyone's good thoughts and best wishes for the 5 days I'll be babysitting the little ones.

Celebrating a friend's 50th this weekend. Not much else going on. If our foliage gets closer to peak, maybe we'll take a ride in the S and I'll bring along the

I take my sweet time when I go someplace. No man to push me to hurry, so I left home at 1:15PM to go to my place at Kennedy Meadows for a couple of nights, with plans to sleep outside in the dirt, again. 
The weather is perfect for a campfire, a warm sleeping bag, and with the waning moon, I expect lots of stars and a strong Milky Way.
...But then, I was 30 miles from my destination of 205 miles, and called the Creekside Inn in Bishop, CA. Ended up with a one night reservation and another 120 miles to drive. I'll go to Devils Postpile tomorrow, and walk to Rainbow Falls, and then head back down to Kennedy Meadows to sleep outside. It's my most favoritest time of year; fall. The sun is lower, it's very colorful as foliage turns yellow (not much red here), and it's cool. Gotta suck it up while I can. Life ain't perfect but it's damn good.

Thurs is my 35th anniversary of gov't service, so in addition to visiting with my bro and sis this weekend, will be having a few drinks to celebrate. I actually have been working for 40 years full time, but I worked summers in college, too. So...it will be an adjustment to retire!
