Heading out with other MGA'ers to the Vintage races at Waterford Hills . . . a road race course that's been doing sports car racing since the late 50s.

You guys have way too much fun!

We're in the Albany NY area tonight, heading towards Watkins Glen, Corning NY area tomorrow. Waterfalls, breweries, maybe even a winery...going to see some of what we missed when we were last in the area in 06. It was a gorgeous top down drive here.

The usual. Cars and Coffee in Irvine then to Pacific Whey for breakfast with some car friends. After that? Don't know. May be a good day to walk across the street and stroll the beach.

Hoping for a nice quiet Saturday. We may go to Brookgreen Gardens for a pleasant lunch, take a little top-down cruise in the T-5 and just chill. I love chillin' days!

Day started out icky. I have a bird feeder that attracts rats and mice. I checked my rat trap and found a small rat in it that was still alive since it snapped on his leg. Now what? My cat, Crystal came out, looked at it and gave it a few sniffs as it tried to run but it only dragged the trap a short way. Zoro, my blind boy, heard it squeaking and he came out to sniff around. He instantly knew it was prey and bit it in the middle. He wanted to take the trap and rat and run off. I held Zoro and told him to drop it. Not a chance. Well, problem solved. After about 4 minutes Zoro finally let go and the rat was dead.

Instead of going to Brookgreen, we dropped the top and drove down to Georgetown. We walked around the waterfront a bit and then browsed through a realllllllly neat furniture store that has all sorts of unique, interesting and expensive pieces. I was wanting a very small oriental style run to put in front of my door in the foyer, but the least expensive 2 x 3 one they had was $450. I really would rather not spend $450 for a rug for people to wipe their feet, so we soldiered on. It is always a lot of fun to look at the baroque and rococo stuff with all that detail, gilt, etc. When we move to the castle we've been eyeing (LOL), I'll remember this place as a good source. Afterward we headed down to have lunch someplace we've never been and we spotted a cute little tiny restaurant called Alfresco Georgetown Bistro. OMG!!! We had the filet mignon special and it was SUPERB! The filet was the perfect size for lunch (4 oz) and came with a wonderful marsala sauce and delicious mashed potatoes and gold baby carrots. The carrots were cooked whole and were perfect. We'll definitely go back again. The Chef came to our table and told us he was trained at a school in NY, worked as a chef at a country club there and then moved to this area. I hope the tiny little town of Georgetown is large enough to sustain a good business because he certainly whipped up a fab meal. Everyone in the restaurant was exclaiming over their food, so we'll probably check it out again in the future.

Yep, did end up walking on the beach at Crystal Cove for about 90 minutes. Then I visited a dog park in Laguna Canyon, just to check it out. I'm going to try to start my motorcycle next. It's been sitting for about 2 years since I started it. It's a kick start and doesn't have a battery.

I don't know about ^that. It's a 2002 Kawasaki KLR 300R. I got it started multiple times but it won't stay running.
