Lainey, I was in your neck of the woods yesterday and was keeping an eye out for a blue S2k! We went down to Pandanaram village in Dartmouth and then out to eat in Fairhaven.
Gee Rob! You should have called. We would have tossed some burgers on the grill and had you come over. You were sooooooooo close to my house. Where did you eat in Fairhaven?
I would of if I knew ahead of time but it was a spur of the moment type thing my parents had family visiting so I ended up coming down at the last minute but we did keep an eye out for you guys when we were riding around. We ate at Mikes in Fairhaven. We were going to eat at Oxford creamery outside on the picnic tables but it was too hot for some in our group to eat outside.

Mike's is a long time favorite with the locals. Padanaram is always nice to drive through. We actually headed in another direction yesterday, but I was pretty darn hot! We were back home around 3:30 ish.

Mikes is one of my Mom's favorites when I used to work with my dad down in marion we used to go out to lunch every once in awhile at The Shortwave grille that was a favorite of mine not much for ambience but they had great whole belly clams.
I had never been to pandaram and i agree it is a nice spot i was also suprised to see that there is a New Bedford yahct Club i didn't know one existed. Not exactly what you think of when you think of New bedford 'Big Dan's' always comes to mind!

New Bedford has had a few black eyes over the years. Some areas are still pretty rough around the edges, and too many jobs were lost, however the city, especially the waterfront/downtown area is making a pretty darn good comeback. New restaurants, local hot spots for some night life, etc. It's coming along!

Nothing better than drinking and spending the weekend being gored by drunk roller derby wannabees. Sounds like fun to me. Ole`!!!

I'm putting a tin roof on my garage. Right now it's raining for the 4th time since I got up. Life's a little steamy on the roof.

Our son is back in the States. He may be headed here for a few days. We're hoping when he leaves he takes all his stuff with him that we've been storing for about 8 years. I cannot wait to see how much space gets freed up. I plan to keep it totally freed up and not fill it up with ANYTHING except air.

I've got to go in to work in the morning to do a database upgrade. If nothing screws up it should be a half day. Otherwise...

I'd be willing to bet that Sandy and I were having more fun than anyone else on vintage at 7:00 AM yesterday (Saturday). The crowd at the Three Legged Dog Saloon on Conti Street was in good spirits, so to speak.

You're probably correct. We had a fairly quiet weekend and really enjoyed lunch and a nice walk through Brookgreen Gardens. There were no rousing drunks or partying types in sight. There were some folks enjoying a little guitar music on a blanket on the grass. Nice.
