Our "official" Christmas is over, but still things to do this week. A friend is having a "movie night" on Friday. We may go there, but that depends if the grandkids come for a sleep over.

Christmas Eve we go to a friend's Mom's house for a buffet, always fun.

Christmas Day we are on our own, which is fine. We may have some company late in the afternoon for dinner.

Maybe a little surf and turf (scallops and steak), or maybe a ham. Still undecided.

Three day weekend, we're both off on Monday.

Starting the festivities before the weekend as it turns out - headed to the +1's office party this PM. Irish pub near the Capitol. Should be fun.

^ That party turned out to be pretty boring...not really organized as a party. But lunch yesterday was really nice. The +1 has just taken the old big TV to the Salvation Army drop off. They were happy to have it. Waiting on Comcast to hook up the new one. Dinner tonight at our usual Christmas Eve spot - Tabard Inn. They always have game on the menu - I see pheasant, duck and venison items.

Sounds wonderful, MsP. Lora is coming over later today and will stay through the evening. Jim's nephew & his wife are coming later along with Rhonda from Myrtle Beach. We aren't planning anything special, but it will be very nice to have a friend and some family. We'll have some hors d'oeuvre and just chill out. Hoping to hear some laughter -- the granddogs will be here.

I'm at my daughter's house. She made yummy fudge last night and we sat and talked. It's fun hearing about her life and experiences and what goes on at the zoo. I asked her if she wanted to go see the movie "I Bought a Zoo" and she thinks it'll be stupid since she knows what it's really like to take care of animals but I told her I wanted to see it with her so she can tell me what is BS. We may go see it and she said when she does this I'll know it's BS.

I'll answer for Ray, since I only live about 45 miles from him. It was clear and in the low to mid 40's, depending on what time he rode. How's your weather? Hope you have a good Christmas visit with your daughter!

My daughter dissed the zoo movie too . Jim and I may go to see the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo tomorrow afternoon. We'll open gifts tonight after our company leaves. I'm very excited to see our daughter open her stuff and the things we bought the granddogs. All the other gifts had to be sent out UPS and US mail. We'll hear about them tomorrow by phone.

Yeah, a little cool but layering is key. There is now a heated handlebar available that I read about in Bicycling. Maybe they will come up with a heated seat next. But then that would take all of the adventure out of it. Happy Holidays Gene. Got a BMW X3 on order from Santa.
