Nothing even remotely resembling fun here this weekend. I suspect that I'll be saying my final goodbyes and mourning the passing of one of my dearest and most loyal friends over the past fifteen years, Wallace. He and I will be making a much dreaded trip to the vet's office tomorrow morning.
So sorry.

Thanks to all for the good wishes. I just got back from the vet's office. Wallace turned fifteen and a half yesterday. It was his time; his body was worn out.
Today is one of those very few days I find myself wishing I drank.

I feel for you, Dean. A great dog is not as easy to come by as I would have thought.
I can cry still in a second when I think of my beloved dog Kyras who died on Dec. 7, 1999. He was only 8.

Busy weekend coming up. My sis is already in town for a couple of weeks. My niece arrives Thurs for a few days. The +1's son arrives Fri for his campus tour Sat and orientation next Mon (GMU). And some shopping to do for a few holiday goodies to give out and a couple of things for Toys for Tots.

This weekend we may check out a new BBQ joint with some friends. It's time to put up my little Christmas tree and still doing catch up stuff around the house. Much doesn't get done in the better weather, and when we have Saturday duty with the grandchildren. The dust bunnies must die!

Dean, sorry to see the loss. I know last year when I had to do the same. I had mine for 14 years before she started going down. Could not see her suffering.
