"Volunteered" to help a friend split wood. Wait...where was he when I was splitting my 2 cords of wood a couple of weeks ago??? I may have to reevaluate this situation.
Have fun!

They're going to tear down our screen lanai tomorrow. That begins a 3 week plus pool renovation project. We're resurfacing the pool, ripping out all the concrete around it and replacing the edge tile. The new version will have a snow white cantilevered edge, fiber optic lighting and a 4ft glass tile loggerhead turtle complete with shadow on the bottom.
It's going to be a mess around here for the next few weeks.

Dave, sounds like a busy, fun weekend. Flts, sounds like a real mess. Call me when it's done and you're throwing a party.

Well the day has finally come, will start moving into the new house this weekend. Will be moving basically a room at a time. This way I will be able to clean out a lot of old papers and other items. Then a large estate sale, LOL . Everyone have a great weekend.

Nothing even remotely resembling fun here this weekend. I suspect that I'll be saying my final goodbyes and mourning the passing of one of my dearest and most loyal friends over the past fifteen years, Wallace. He and I will be making a much dreaded trip to the vet's office tomorrow morning.

Good luck with the move, Vyk. I'm sure you will really enjoy your new home. Post pics!
Sorry about Wallace, Dean. I wish him a peaceful journey to that great fire hydrant in the sky. I've said goodbye to a few friends myself. Had a vet come to the house for two of them. It was a nice way to send them off.

So sorry to hear this, Dean. That is never an easy journey.
I'm sure you are doing right by him. Tough, tough decision.

I'll be heading to Raleigh-Durham for the annual Christmas Toys for the homeless. We do this every year for the kids in the Durham shelter. A small bit of fun and color for some child that may not otherwise get visited by Santa. Last year we filled two large vans with toys, we hope to do better this year.
