I am going to visit my Mother on Long Island. If I can work out the details my Mother and I may have Brunch or dinner with an old high school friend that I have not seen since 1970. He tracked me down on Face Book earlier this year.

Do you have the car on a lift or ramps/jackstands?

For a long time i was a turtle patrol volunteer. I've "grandfathered" hundred of hatchlings from the nest to the sea.

I raise fresh water ones in my pond.

thanks

Heading home from our great week here on the Outer Banks in Ocracoke, North Carolina, early tomorrow morning. We are going to try to make the 7:00 AM ferry (they run every 30 minutes, and thanks to the NC taxpayers, they are free!) I have to say, though, that there surely aren't any residents of Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Quebec left in their respective states/provinces, as I think they are all down here, based on the license plates I've seen!! My favorite vanity plate I've seen was on a car from PA, which said: "OBX MP70", which translates to: Outer Banks, Mile Post 70 (the last mile post on NC Route 12, headed south, which is here on Ocracoke Island) Love it!!!

We've had a perfect beach week, with the only rain coming one morning about 2:00 AM.

I'll be tackling the under-car hoses with a ramp and jack stands.

Canceled our Saturday evening cookout as some of our friends had to be out of town for family stuff. I know my Mom and our friend's Mom were looking forward to it. They enjoy the gatherings and have spent time together over the years. So Plan B. A cookout for lunch tomorrow while I have the grandkids. Mom gets to see the great grandkids and enjoy the company of our friend's Mom too.

Weather looks good for tomorrow evening. Maybe a drive in the S and dinner on the road.

Lousy weather Sunday. House stuff or some shopping.
