The +1 has decided to rejoin his running group that meets on Sat AM. This AM they are running 12 miles. I am not. Enjoyed the Caps game yesterday. They won for a change against the Islanders.

Islanders have a really good team this year.

^ Yeah, the Caps lost to the Islanders in the Wed night game. Very aggressive. There were quite a few fights yesterday.

Spent Friday working on my son's truck. It was great to have a father and son project to do, even if I don't much care for trucks, especially monster trucks like my son bought. It was great to see his level of enthusiasm. I may not be a truck guy, but if the platform lights a fire in my son, that is something to encourage.

Yesterday kicked off the Christmas shopping. This year Barbara decided to adopt a family and buy things for their children. This is a nice program as you are really helping the children of total strangers who need the support. You never even know who they are after you give the gifts. The true meaning of Christmas comes through right there. Last night I did all the Christmas cards that aI send to the people in my office. So glad to get that out of the way this early in the season

Today I am doing some house cleaning. We need to get ready for the Cookie Party!!! I may go out and get the tree. The earlier the better in my book. Those trees aren't getting any fresher and the sooner you get them into water the better, from my experience.

Weekend coming up is busy for us. Fri evening is the +1's art class party. Sat afternoon is holiday tea at the Ritz put on by our investment company. Sun afternoon we are seeing Donnie and Marie Osmond's Christmas show at the National Theater. Also, my bro, his wife and Chicago son are coming to visit for a few days on Thurs, so will be with them in between.

I'm not sure where my long awaited four day weekend went to. Family, friends, the Y, dinner out, drinks at a new restaurant, cleaning, shopping, errands even wrapped Christmas presents.

Would so like to make this a five day weekend, but back to work I go tomorrow.

The coming weekend hasn't even been discussed yet.......We are kid free, so we'll think of something.

The upside was I made a killer turkey soup.
Otherwise me and the couch were good buddies this weekend.
My wife brought home a nasty hacking cold two weekends ago and felt obligated to share.

You are not alone, Jerry. Two people who were at the Thanksgiving dinner I attended came down with some sort of cold or flu the day after. I'm wondering what the incubation period is for that particualr bug...
