F1 in Hungary.
One of the better F1 races! I love rain racing.

Rosberg was pissed about the last lap, but WTF, Hamilton has a right to compete. It was not at all clear that Rosberg would then be able to overtake Alonso for 2nd.

great racing,.
there certainly seems to be some whining going on.

Hamilton certainly has to feel good going into the break. He easily could have been 60+ points behind instead of only 11 and everyone would have just said " yeah that was some tough luck he had that wasn't his fault."

Success is never 'because', success is 'in spite of'.

Took the pup for a two mile walk.... don't know who's more dead, me or the pup.
of course I didn't spend a half hour romping and wrestling with the golden retriever either.

Our weekend lasts until Thursday this week. We are in Ogunquit, ME. Not sure what I was thinking booking this in August. Damn tourists everywhere....they are in my way!

Walked on "Marginal Way" this afternoon, a nice walkway overlooking the ocean. We don't usually stroll, but people (lots of people) were strolling. We had to pass them.

Tomorrow we plan on taking a boat ride for about an hour and a half. Hope to catch some good lighthouse pics.

We'll try for a walk on the beach too. Hard packed sand, good for walking.

Tuesday,we may head to Kennebunkport and see if George and Barbara Bush are home.

On Thursday, I start a two week ROAD TRIP with my son Ben. Ben & Jerry....get it

We'll be driving the 50 mpg Prius so that will preclude getting very much interest here

We'll depart from our G-burg cottage and make a big loop to hit parts of OH, IN, IA, MO, OK, AR, MS, TN and back via VA/MD to home by Aug 21st.

Since I MIGHT be able to post pics via Facebook, I'll probably try to do some occasional entries on Gene's "CCF" Facebook group page.

I took the pup out for a loooong walk this morning. 3.5 miles to be precise.
I'm not sure who is suffering more now, me or the dog.
Of course that lazy slacker doesn't have to go mow the lawn now.

I got back this afternoon after a track weekend in Lancaster, CA. So that puts me half way to meeting one of my 2014 goals: two track days in the Lotus. One down, one to go. It was incredibly HOT out there, but our track day went amazingly smoothly and it was just great! 15 cars on the Streets of Willow sharing the track in alternating sessions with the Allen Berg racing school. Admittedly I had to "work" a little of the day because I was one of the organizers, but it was totally worth it.

I'm honestly on Cloud 9 about how well it went seeing as none of us doing this thing had ever organized a track day before, yet by the end of the day the school guys were shaking my hand and telling me we were one of the best non-professional groups they have *ever* shared a track day with and they would be happy to share a track with us again when the opportunity arises. How cool is that? Yippee!
