Lainey, thank you for mentioning your flat tire, somewhere in Vintage Land. I was getting my Laguna Blue baby ready for my drive to Hood River, Oregon, and thought I'd better check the spare. It had 15 lbs instead of 60. Fixed that. Car's all purty and ready to go. I'm heading out on Friday. I added a day up front so my first three days are 367 miles, 377 miles and 280 miles, to get to Hood River.

Glad to help. BTW, Rick has a small compressor in the trunk, along with a can of fix a flat, and even a tire plug kit. Doesn't take up much room.

Safe travels and have lots of fun, Patty. Please share some pics!

Same situation here. I checked it two weeks ago, topped it off, then checked again a week later and it had lost about 5 pounds (hmmm, I would like to know what diet it is on!). Obviously a very slow leak and I didn't feel like taking it to a tire place and spending money on something I may not even need so I bought a can of fix-a-flat and we can put that into the spare to handle any small leaks in the event I have to use the thing. I always have a small compressor in my car. Lives next to the fire extinguisher.

Getting excited about the trip.

Yes. Friday morning. Stopping point on day one is Redding. Gotta get a good night's sleep tonight.

I was also going to Redding but on Saturday. Instead, I'm going to my friend's in Riverbank, CA on Friday, and Klamath Falls, OR on Saturday.

^ Thought maybe you two SoCal girls would caravan up together. In any event, I am truly sorry to be missing this, as I had really planned on going. Have a great time! (Oh, and take lots of s!)

Who knows? Maybe we'll time it right and end up on the 405 and 5 freeways side by side.

Painting today (ugh) but tomorrow going to bike shop to customize and order my new bike (Trek Domane) which is an endurance race bike for old guys who just turned 70 and need a little more comfort for those 100 mile rides.
