Last weekend was more fun than this weekend will be. It's a weekend full of family obligations.

Tomorrow we are going to church. The grandson is making his first communion. I know that's a big deal to Catholics everywhere, but I've left that fold. To be honest, don't know why they (son and daughter in law) bother since they are not regular church goers. Daughter in law's Portuguese heritage makes this a big event with a luncheon afterwards. So not looking forward to this.

Sunday is Mother's Day, we will pick up Mom and head over to my sister's in the late afternoon.

Well, So what did we do this weekend?
we made a trip to Vermont.
It was a shakedown trip for the GL450 we bought 2 weeks ago just before spring fling. It's an '07 with a tick under a 100K on the clock.
It was really enjoyable and comfortable to drive. I think the break in period is just about done.

We stayed a tthe +1's folks vacation place on Mallet's bay. They both passed last year and the property will be going on the market next week.
So it was a somewhat melancholy visit for my wife as it was another step in saying goodbye.

From the camp, we went over t Cabot Vt and picked up the puppy.

So today, we're just chilling let puppy get his bearings.

although I might get out a bucket a water and get rid of some of that Vermont dirt that a black vehicle shows so well.

Went over to my mother's today to visit on her 92nd birthday. Nice top-down ride on a lovely spring day.

Spent the weekend in the Bahamas. Did not see a single S2000s but there were a lot of vintage CR-Vs. Some without the rear tire mounted on the first edition. Look forward to getting home and taking the S for a spin.

Jim, you win "best weekend plans." That looks beautiful.

This time of year means lots of yardwork. +1's green thumbs are in overdrive. I'm the helper. We did a lot of yard work yesterday. Last night we took the S to a pub with 78 taps. He tried three and I drove the S home.

Today we ran some errands and put flowers on my Dad's grave. We took care of his parent's grave as well.

That was enough digging in the dirt for the weekend. Life is short. Took off in the S this afternoon. Beautiful afternoon, nice ride and took a couple of

We are in town this weekend, so will be going to Rolling Thunder on Sun - 400,000 motorcycles from all over the country have a parade from the Pentagon to the Mall downtown. It's always a big deal. The bikers should start rolling in on Route 50 below us tomorrow. Vroom, vroom!

Another autocross this Sunday, followed by a convertible ride/picnic with my honey on Monday. Love the Jekyll and Hyde nature of the S2000!

Likely not doing a lot. This is typically a yard/garden weekend for us but I seem to have screwed up my shoulder somehow. 800mg motrin washed down with a beer doesn't seem to be helping at all. Damn, I hate sitting around when the weather has finally got decent. The F1 race and Indy 500 can only kill so much time.

This is our big gardening weekend too. We did some last week, but this is flower planting weekend.

Spare some ice from the Jim Beam and ice the shoulder. Sorry about the shoulder and sitting around. My sister could join you. She went home from the hospital today with a bunch of new screws and plates in her ankle. A missed step and her summer is pretty much toast. She'll be working out of her recliner for a while.
