My Federal's done. I was on hold for an hour yesterday to talk to someone at Turbo Tax. Then when I got in the guy didn't have a clue what I was talking about and finally transferred me higher up. I then was on hold for another hour and finally hung up. I ripped them up when they sent me a follow-up survey. I still never did get an answer with respect to one of the 1099-R forms I received. I continued to work taxes for the 2 hours I was waiting. I was 99% sure I knew the answer to my question but I wanted them to validate it.

We owe the gov't this year. Unusual for us. It's not like crossed into the 1% that is often spoken about, but a little income categorized differently, caused a balance due. No way of getting around it.

Sat will be such a gorgeous day (60s) that I'm planning to go to the farmers market up the road with a friend, then have breakfast. Other than that, should be fairly quiet.

I'm working Sat&Sun. but Sunday should be a short workday for me. Then Monday is my birthday and I have it off so I'm going to consider that still the weekend.
