Had a great time in Annapolis. Good food, good company and the +1 did well in his race. I have a few pics I'll post soon.

Just found out the Blue Angels will be doing a video shoot from 6:15-6:45 tonight, making multiple passes in formation over Reagan Airport and the Pentagon. A seventh Hornet will be doing the video. That is going to be really, really !! Will have a great view from the balcony. Not sure if I can get any photos. Maybe they won't be going so crazy fast as they do in their shows. I'll try.

Last time we saw them they flew right past the windows of our hotel (very close) in Baltimore setting up for their various maneuvers over Ft McHenry. I've also seen them a few times in the past, including a VIP show at their winter training facility in El Centro, CA. Never gets old!

They only went by sedately twice and a bit farther away than I wanted. Was hoping they'd buzz the building. Still cool to see them. Too hazy for pics. Maybe I can find the video at some point.

I had a chance to observe a single F15 during a test out at white sands.
He came over our location at 50 feet and 620 knots.
He had a flight deck limit of 2500 a mile away so as soon as he passed over us he pulled back on the stick and went straight vertical.

Yeeee-haaaaaa

This coming weekend is Labor Day. I'm still not sure what happened to the month of July............

We have two cookouts to attend. Not sure we'll manage both. One is local, the other over an hour away

Will look forward to the three day weekend, but will not acknowledge this as the "official end of Summer weekend. No way, no how!!!

It's a small world. They were at the Yankee Air Museum in MI this weekend. Our MG club organized an event there Saturday but I didn't attend. Not sure how that went since it rained. But a couple summers ago we saw them when we were in Traverse City. When came in toward town from over Lake Michigan they broke a few store windows! So you don't want them too close.
