Default What would you like to accomplish in 2005?

Do you have any plans or goals for the year 2005? Is there anything you would like to accomplish, anything that you would like to do?

I have a few. I'd like to develop my own practice. I'd like to see my oldest son Andrew get accepted into the college of his choice (he's very interested in New York University). I'd like to spend more time with my wife and kids. I'd like to lose some weight. I'd like to be able to post this same question on December 30, 2005 knowing that all of you are ready to post answers. I'd like for my family and everyone I know to have a good and healthy year.

How about you? What are your plans and goals for 2005? What would you like to accomplish?

and also I'd like to learn to relax a little more and spend more time at the beach or in the mountains and less time sweating the small stuff.

I'd like to get closer to my family. We have a good relationship but it just seems that we hardly spend enough time together. Since my Mom passed away in May of 04 this has become a big issue with me. It reminded me of just how fast life passes us by and we miss many opportunities to enjoy what we do have.

I have a few things that I'd like to accomplish this year:

1. Find gainful employment warping the minds of America's youth.
2. Buy a boat and spend some time fishing in the lakes that surround my house.
3. Read more Science/History/Philosophy books
4. Complete my Frank Zappa - The Mothers of Invention CD collection
5. Work on home improvement projects
6. Supercharge/turbo my car
7. Write a will
8. Win the lottery
9. Uncover the true identity of Jack the Ripper
10. Get married
11. Visit my old homestead in Maine
12. Quit smoking
13. Write a book

This should keep me busy for a couple of months in 2005.

I highly recommend Weight Watchers. I'm a Life Time Member (as are my husband and son) and we all go in once a month to weigh in. If I'm within 2 lbs. of my original goal weight, I don't pay. If I'm over 2 lbs. above it, I pay for that month which is about $9. Their program is like getting money every day and you decide how to spend it, only it's food points that you spend. Every food is worth so many points and you spend them on the food YOU want, how YOU choose. Worked for me, my husband and my 16 year-old son. It's cheap too.

Here's my son before and after:
