I might try my hand at house sitting for a time when my work life is over. I'd like to spend time in a number of places around the US and I can't imagine a better way to do it. (No RV thing for me, thanks.) I don't know how practical that plan is but there are networks to hook up people.

One more try for the north country: there is no road I can imagine more spectacular than M22 from Frankfort, MI to Empire. Sleeping Bear dunes, orchards and the amazing Lake Michigan coast make for summer Paradise on earth.

Of course, there are the other seven months...

As they say of Traverse City, "half the pay for a view of the bay." For many, it's worth it...

Cool! Next time I'm out there I'll have to look you up...As another coincidence, my sister-in-law is from MI, Traverse City area. Her family has had a house on a lake up there for years...

And some of the best fish I've ever eaten is whitefish from Lake Michigan!
