Two of our relocated trees blew over during heavy winds overnight, I guess I'll be spending a bit of time propping them back up until they can some bigger roots down.

Today we took part in a motorcade, not to transport a special person, but to honor her. About 25 cars, most decorated, along with a police escort with lights flashing, drove past the home of the honoree who is celebrating her 105th birthday today. Friends and relatives were there to greet us with waves and cookies (with 105 written in icing) while the honoree looked on. She was all dolled up and sported a tiara as she watched and waved from the shade of the garage.

Afterwards we went to Coastal Daiquiri Company for lunch on the large porch. We dined on fried catfish, hush puppies, french fries and slaw. I had a cold Corona (laughing in the face of danger) and Sandy enjoyed a bloody mary. It was a beautiful day with a Gulf view and breeze.

This will no doubt be the high point of a low key weekend. We may do something on Fathers Day.

That sounds a whole lot more fun than my day. After my 4am wake-up call from work I was paged again at 8am. Then I helped a workmate load a wreck onto a car trailer, and re-hung some doors in the house. I'm starting work again at 10:30pm (half an hour from now) and should be finishing around 4am.

Might take the family over to Napier tomorrow when I wake up, it'll be our first outing since lockdown started on March 25.

Sitting around trying to decide what to do. Weekends are tough with Covid 19. Many places still closed, so the masses descend on the outdoor nature trails, etc. However it's in the mid 80's so I'm not really feeling like a walk in the woods. We avoid places like Cape Cod and Newport on weekends. Even with Covid they will be busy and I don't want to be that closely connected to people. Got my exercise in at an outdoor class this AM and it was HOT! We may take off in the S for a little cruise to no where. We've been everywhere in a certain radius though...
Not planning dinner out as it's outdoor dining only and places are jammed. Indoor dining starts next week, maybe that will free up a few outside tables...........

Since I am still in Colorado for at least another week, I am going to drive up to Silverton on Sunday for a little open air picnic. Still waiting to learn of the family's covid19 status before returning to Bellaire. I'm not usually easily depressed, but am missing the family in Texas.

Yes, it has been awhile since you have been back. Do you have anyone there who can go on the picnic, too? That is nice ride up to Silverton.

Yeah. Me too. Meanwhile the top down drive with a friend should lighten the mood a little. Enjoy.

On Saturday we will be golfing at Green Mountain National.
We're going to annoy Robb by swooping into his state, playing 18 and running away. ( probably leave a few little white souvenirs in the woods)
Haven't figured out the food part yet. that will be tougher.
Had a wonderful day chasing a little white ball.
Very successful. No moving violations this time.
I did leave a fair number of souvenirs in the woods as expected.
Played 18 in 3:30 although speed does not indicate quality play.
my driver and I have to sit down and have a quality discussion about direction.
Frustrating in one regard, so close to playing really well just not quite there.
