What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

^^^That's one of the reasons I stopped walking in the woods the ticks and I also don't want to run into a bear or a moose 5 miles into the forest. Turning into a wimp in my vintage years.

We had the perfect night for enjoying the evening. Zero wind, great Pandora sounds on the bluetooth speaker, and happy hour ran late.

We have a new rail trail that is tied in to the track that I walk at. It's not as challenging as hiking in the woods but I enjoy it as it is maintaned very well and I'm not tripping on roots as I have a tendency to do when I get tired. I used to hike Bromley Mountain, using the Long Trail, just about every Sunday morning in the warmer months and do miss it as I was always rewarded with a beautiful 360 degree view when I got to the top.
Glad to see some of you are able to safely socialize. I haven't seen most of my friends in months, one of my friends is planning a socially distant party hoping that happens. I miss the car get togethers also that usually start up in the spring most of those friends I haven't seen since the fall.

Sears didn't just sell scooters under the AllState brand. I once owned an AllState 250cc motor cycle made by Puch of Austria, probably a model SGS250. The motor was a two stroke "twingle" two piston design that used a single primary connecting rod with a secondary rod to the second piston pivoting off the main rod. Google if you want to go down this engineering rabbit hole. For me a big attraction was the separate oil tank which metered oil into the intake charge of gasoline, eliminating the need to pre-mix gas and oil. It also had been bored to 300cc during a rebuild and could easily keep up with the four stroke Honda 350s that were everywhere at the time. Another major attraction was the price: $50 used. I rode it for more than a year but ended up abandoning it in downtown San Antonio. I don't remember why it stopped running but I do remember that it was something I could not fix on the spot nor could I ride the bike in that condition. (I was already riding it with a broken clutch cable.) I was about to be transferred to another duty station and there just wasn't time to get the bike tended to, let alone sold to someone else.
