Now that it has finally stopped raining I may take a bike ride. My laptop died but the Apple store is closed so I can't go there. It is 17 years old so I guess I don't owe it anything. I may downsize to a iPad pro.

So will you put it all back together before you call them in?

Have fun!

Rick has some yard work planned, I have an online Y class. This afternoon it may be warm enough for some top down time. We'll go chasing some birds or whatever catches my eye.

Yep, I don't want a lazy repair guy to look at it and say "warranty voided."
Even though he'll have to take it all apart again.
The only real hard part is extending into the box to do stuff, really kills the back.

I'm not crazy about appliance repair. I always do a better job fixing anything when I take the time to figure out how the thing works and what all the parts do. I just don't find the workings of washers, dryers or refrigerators particularly interesting.

It would appear that besides fixing the burned out wire it just needed those two extra screws removed and now it works fine.
