What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

Cute Patty!
We leave Friday for a long weekend in the Poconos. Fall foliage train ride all day Saturday in the area with a stop at Jim Thorpe in the middle to sight see. We chose the steam engine train and are sitting in the glass top car. We expect the town to be mobbed. Cindy and I were talking and agreed as soon as we get off the train, find a place to eat and get in line. None take reservations. We're staying at an AirBNB near Reading where the train departs from. It's sort of a little anniversary getaway.
We really enjoyed the train in Alaska and its now a viable option to travel or for an activity when we travel. Cindy's looking at The WV Eagle Train for next year sometime.

Four day weekend coming up, Friday is our regional anniversary day (can't think of a US equivalent, like a whole-of-state holiday) and Monday is Labour/Labor Day. Unfortunately I'm desk-working overnight on the Sunday so I'll spend half of Monday asleep or groggy, but still looking forward to getting the chance to do some more fencing/drainage work. The ground is so hard now that the tractor can't get the auger to bite, and I have to hand dig post holes, which is a decent workout. Rain is forecast for Saturday and I hope they're right for a change - we've had less than an inch in the past 6 weeks and the crops are surviving on humidity and morning dew.

Probably World Series watching. And Sun is the always fun Marine Corps Marathon. Vito does not run it anymore but we go to cheer on the thousands of runners, with special cheers for Marines and Navy. It is big deal here in Rosslyn.
