Will do. Temps look to be about 80 degrees. I may stay in our area where it will be cooler.

We had a great C&C meet this morning, lot of British cars and a lot of oil spots, but like I told the owners it’s a good sign if it leaks it means it’s not empty. A couple showed up with a 63 E-type coupe in white with a red interior, they have owned it for 43 years and are not afraid to go out on trips in it. My friend who is a dealer showed up with a MGA he has for sale that I have wanted to check out. He said he is willing to let it go for 16,500 and it is in decent shape, runs well, has decent paint and interior what I would call a driver car. A cyber truck also showed up it was interesting to look at but not really for me.

I returned home for our trip to NYC and Long Island at 17:45 after a rather frustrating drive back for Riverhead, Long Island. Traffic was brutal, one minute we were going ten MPH over the speed limit (or more) then the next minute we came to complete dead stop. This when on for miles and miles.

The Billy Joel concert was ASSUME! He is quite a showman.

Then we drove out to Riverhead to visit with some friends that I have not seen since May of 2022 when my Brother and I hosted a Celebration of Life for our Mother. Except for the drive up and back it was a great weekend.

It was Ohio Youth Choir Alumni day at the Ohio State Fair. 39 years ago, that was me on the Ohio Department of Natural Resources stage. It felt great to come back Home and to show Amy why I see the State Fair as a magical place.

Trip to the capital went well, Noah was at about the lowest point of his health cycle and barely got any sleep (didn't help we shared a room and I snore like a real man) but the preliminary results suggest he's there or thereabouts in terms of qualifying for med school. Not bad for a 17 year old.

It was my first time in the city in about 5 years and the road in and out has improved one hundred-fold. For over 100 years there had been debates on and off about providing a better inland route, and they finally got around to building it over the past 10 years. It was held up by Covid and various shenanigans, but they opened it in 2022 and this was my first time driving it. It was glorious, almost like NZ finally did something to arrest our relentless slide into infrastructural decrepitude. Cut a good 30 minutes of the drive in and out again, which is a decent saving on a 4 hour trip.

It's a steep route at some points, and there's a runaway vehicle area that I found...interesting. It has the usual gravel trap to slow vehicles, and at the end there's a large gravel embankment as expected, but what I did not expect to see was a power substation immediately behind the embankment. The next stop after that was the airspace above a valley, so if the gravel trap doesn't stop you then the substation will set you on fire and you'll carry on into eternity, airborne in a blaze of glory.

Trying to keep the wife out of the ER. Last three weekends her BP has been way up(over 200/130) because of pain. It comes and goes during the week but stays up on the weekend. Makes no sense to me or the doctors. It could be her cancer but the doc's don't think it's that. Hope it's nothing new.
