Rick and I both stepped outside for a bit. He watered a few flowers, picked some cucumbers and quit. I filled bird feeders and snapped a couple pics. We're just not ready to be out in the heat. Meanwhile across the street, baseball is happening. Big tournament with teams as far away as Central Vermont. That's a lot of parental dedication to drive that far, likely rent a hotel room, to have the "enjoyment?" of sitting out in the hot sun, watching baseball. In our world, a baseball game is like watching grass grow.

The really big ones are at Walmart. One of the nice things is it is a totally free event with lots of venders, large car show, etc.

It’s nice and cool here today so I don’t have an excuse but I still have my gardening clothes on so I may head out and do some more.

Yep, 78° with a nice breeze. Plans are to swap out a very old bird feeder.

pretty hot and humid here today, but I like it. 90+ degs.

Heading to Cuba in a couple weeks and it could be close to 100 degs there , but being on a beach with a breeze really helps.

I have been enjoying the weather this summer even though the humidity wipes me out at times it is still way better than rain every single day like we have had the last few plus summers. This year has been like a summer should be to me.

Yeah I will never complain about heat, as the winter season is so miserable. The west coast of Canada (British Columbia) gets very mild winters with warmer temps, but they get a lot of rain during summer , so it always seems to be a trade-off. I almost hate rain days as much as snow days.

I have become totally unable to deal with the heat. We had some absolutely lovely non humid, temps in the 70's in June. I want that weather back. The extremes of winter and the hotter summers are keeping me inside the house.

Mission accomplished. It took both of us working for two hours. Getting the old feeder off was no easy task. And before we put the new one on we modified the mounting board which meant dragging out a skill saw that hasn't been used in 30 years.

old

new

Only thing left is to install a lock so Rocky can't clean it out.
