Yup unless they have an automatic car wash the person cleaning it is using the long brush in the bucket method.

If I take the S in for whatever I make the service writer put on the work order “NO TEST DRIVE AND NO WASH”. I let them know I have the mileage recorded and I will check.

I know one place I will not be. Faster Horses is a massive three-day event, which draws an estimated 40,000 revelers to Michigan International Speedway each summer. It starts tomorrow. We were only a few miles away from MIS today and saw endless campers and motorhomes going there. Six people died there since 2013. Binge and underage drinking and reports of sexual assault have been ongoing issues- where partying permeates the concert and campout atmosphere. 91 assaults and 30 criminal sexual conduct reports. Sadly 4 people died last year – 3 from carbon monoxide in a camping trailer. No place for an old fart.

Having lunch with two gal pals tomorrow, then Sat evening is a soccer game between DC United and Celtic, Rod Stewart’s favorite team. Staying downtown overnight near the stadium. Vito leaves Mon for 10 days in NJ with his mom. His kids will be there part of the time.

Meeting one of my buddies for breakfast tomorrow at the yacht club to see their new-ish boat.
Who knows we might get to head out for a sail. At 54 feet it's a real boat.

It is after all the best , most enjoyable, kind of boat, some else's.

otherwise chilling at the beach at our sister/brother-in-laws, while they're at their lake house in VT.

Dinner Saturday night with my SC sister, brother in law, us and a local friend. this happens.

Humidity is down a bit, so perhaps a walk, top down drive, summer enjoyment.

Nothing too exciting for me this weekend. I’m going to change out the filters in the WRX and maybe do some gardening and my cousin send me a trilogy of books. It’s been awhile since I read anything good so looking forward to that. Will be doing a run to the transfer station too maybe catch up on some local gossip.

Gossip at the transfer station? Is there no little local diner nearby?

Yeah but it’s 16 dollars for a bowl of chili, 14 dollars for a chocolate chip cookie etc. in other words local people can’t afford to eat there or don’t want to pay those prices even if they can.

I was mistaken. Sixteen dollars for a chocolate chip cookie.
