What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

I'm in the Syracuse NY area. The ride up was messy and sloppy. Snow, sleet, slush. Not much to worry about on the roads, but a bit slow going. Once I cleared the Berkshire area of MA (about three hours in) it got a little better.
I went with my nephew's wife to pick up Cole (age four) from day care. He was so excited to see me. Also went with my nephew to pick up Clara from school, she too was excited to see me. My sister from SC flies in this morning. We told the kids there is a surprise guest coming, but they don't know who.
We will enjoy a nice family visit. Whenever I spend time with these children it saddens me to think of my sister (their grandmother) whose time with them was cut short. I'm hoping she's smiling down on all of us this weekend.

Home and VERY tired from the weekend in NY. So much activity in that house and so little sleep for me! I was going to hang out with them until mid afternoon. However, I left before lunch. I was so tired I wanted to be sure I was home before it was dark. Just about six hours on the road including stops. Glad to be home. Always thankful to get home from any road trip safe and sound.

We went to our annual MG spring kickoff lunch on Sat. MG owners from around the state get together from four or five different MG clubs. Kick tires, shoot the shit, sing Happy Birthday to Cecil Kimber, the founder . . dang he never did show up. I was sitting at a table and a buddy showed up from behind, he grabbed me by the shoulder. Oh yeah, the one still healing. I jumped a foot and let out a bit of a scream. He's a retired doctor but he had no idea I'd had surgery 5 weeks ago. No harm, no foul .... thankfully.
We made reservations for a week long MG event in Newark, Ohio in June. Much closer than the national meet in Oregon in July.

Was hoping to see nephew and family today, but as it as it turns out spent three hours buying and setting up my new iPad. Glad to have that done.

Umpired a baseball DH, worked 2 adult soccer games Sunday, and spent Saturday night with the GF - trying to get the new radio to work in her new-to-her SLK230. Crutchfield has great tech support, but I think we end up having a car stereo store do the installation.

Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach: 4/19-21. We'll be there all three days, as always. Top row Grandstand 29, on Shoreline, across from the pits, at the start finish line, Marina Parking in back of our grandstand, across from the Corvette Corral.
