What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

Vito is running the Jingle Bell 15K downtown this morning. It is warm and the rain will not start until he is close to the finish. It is a nice race since the course goes up through Rock Creek Park and around the monuments. Starts and ends at the Wash Monument.
The Chick-fil-A cow was at the race yesterday along with Santa. See if he shows up today, too.

My weekend started early this week. Got up early today, decorated the house, did my online shopping, mailed out some Christmas cards and gave my car the first car wash of the season. Headed out for an oil change tomorrow and to do my brick & mortar shopping.

Think maybe Vito caught a cold when he ran the race in the rain. Anyhoo, had to bow out of Posh and Sporty’s Christmas pageant at their school tonight. Hope to see them this Sun before they head out for the holidays in AZ. Also have not done holiday cards yet or gotten the boxes of decorations out of storage. Running a bit behind.

Family and friend gathering at my local sister's home on Saturday. She is ordering food from a local seafood place which is very good, and she's doing a lot of baking. Sounds good to me.
Late Sunday afternoon, our son and his family will be here for early Christmas celebration. Gift exchange and I plan on doing this again :Solo cup game

Wreaths Across America is having the big event tomorrow at Arlington Cemetery. Quite a few trucks rolled in this AM below us.

In 2020, we took a trip to the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. I wanted to photograph the wreaths on the graves. The graves have markers, not headstones, so the view is not as dramatic as in other places, like Arlington. Still, it's meaningful.

This weekend Amy and I were a happy to welcome her teenage daughter home from the hospital. Bacterial infection in multiple locations. On Christmas, I ended up changing the oil on Amy's 2017 Ridgeline Sport.
